Git Rid of the Annoying Net Neutrality GitHub Red Banner

I’m a fan of GitHub and a fan of Net Neutrality, but I am not a fan of the annoying red net neutrality banner that’s been plastered on GitHub for the past month. If you are OCD about it like I am, here is how you can disable it.

  1. Install the User JavaScript and CSS Google Chrome plugin.
  2. Go to github.com and select the “User JavaScript and CSS” icon at the top right corner of the browser.

3. Select github.com from the drop-down (make sure the toggle is green).

4. Copy and paste the following into the CSS side (right box).

.py-2.px-3.bg-red {
display: none;
}

5. Reload github.com and the red box will no longer bother you.

P.S. You can also disable it by simply clicking the red x button on the banner.
